House Ethics Panel Rebukes DeLay

House Ethics Committee Rebukes DeLay Second Time in a Week

WASHINGTON Oct. 7, 2004 — The House ethics committee rebuked Majority Leader Tom DeLay for the second time in a week for questionable conduct, sternly warning the Texas Republican to temper his behavior.

The committee late Wednesday admonished DeLay for creating an appearance of giving donors special access on pending energy legislation and using the Federal Aviation Administration to intervene in a Texas political dispute.

Last week, the same committee admonished DeLay for offering to endorse the House candidacy of a House member's son in exchange for the member's favorable vote on a Medicare prescription drug bill.

Have you ever asked yourself
Why ARE some Republican Senators SO sleazy?
How come their snouts are in the trough?
Why is corruption for them darn EASY?

Could it be they see themselves
Arrogantly above the law?
Could it be they are so dense
They think they have no flaw?

Could it be that they believe
Their every act comes from God?
That they can do no wrong
And He gives their acts the nod?

Is it because of an ego that could fill the sky?
Is it because it is second nature for them to lie?
Too used to getting comfortable watching OTHERS die?

We hear and see them every day
They LOVE the sound of their own voice
Big, bragging and loud-mouthed
They give us little choice

Corruption to them is just part of the game
As they see it, there IS no shame
They have the power so they abuse
Catch them to rights and they try to confuse

So, these are some of the reasons why
Some Republican Senators are so sleazy
They take your votes and help THEIR folks
To 'do' SLEAZE for them is EASY

the day you stop complaining about the government, they will be doing something right. which i guess you will complain till your dying day, since things just get worse until it breaks down like the roman empire.
