Friendship is Forever, right???

Contributed by nightrider on Thursday, 14th November 2002 @ 12:30:00 AM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

if friendship is forever,
then has the world's end come?
if laughter lasts a lifetime,
then is my life now done?
if hope is the heart's anchor,
then mine must be lost at sea.

we talked of future things,
of things yet to come,
we dreamed of little things,
like the rising of the sun,
and as we walked together,
done that path called life,
we walked side by side,
and hand in hand,
then, our path split into two,
one made for me, one for you.

and as this treasured bond does break,
i pray that one day our paths will again cross,
and as you go something else you take,
you take my heart at my great cost,
for in you i thought i had a friend,
but to you, guess that wasnt true,
you leave me a broken heart to mend,
so, fair person this is all that i have to say to you.

This is one of the best poems that I have ever read...I think that you should give this poem to that friend of yours...let her know how you feel...If she still turns away at least you let off your chest how you feel.
