Falling Teardrops

Slipping slowly, someplace within my mind-
I search about but no answers do I find-
Hidden deep, my memories of yesterday I seek-
Yet the darkness and teardrops make me weep…
What once we shared, I once thought true-
Now is replaced with loneliness to make me blue-
For I found my heart was filled with love-
But know it was not given to me from above…
You walked away and left me here all alone-
And now the emptiness chills me to the bone-
For I loved you true from the start-
Yet in return I received only a broken heart…
I cry now, not for the things that make me sad-
But for the love that we might have had-
And as I sit here with tears falling from my eyes-
I know that what we shared was only lies…

I , I really did, so true and so emotional, Well written and well presented too, I really loved the whole poem specially two parts that summarizes the whole story, the first is "For I loved you true from the start-
Yet in return I received only a broken heart…" and the second is the finale "And as I sit here with tears falling from my eyes-
I know that what we shared was only lies…", Great poem, and if this poem is a true story then trust me when I say, the loss is not yours it's theirs,keep it up. |

I have lived the pain and ache in this poem. But life must go on. You cannot make someone love you. It's hard, but time will heal or at least lessen the pain.
