SOMETIMES LOVE WILL SAY NO

Contributed by joe-joe on Wednesday, 6th October 2004 @ 03:43:24 PM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

Sometimes Love will say no, even in the face of great need, for we must learn how to stand and face the storm,

Though its winds be strong and contrary trying to blow us off our predestined course!

We must be able to confront evil upon its own ground without being twisted or turned around,

Never forgetting from whence we have been brought, or the price for which we were bought!

Love will sometimes say no, though in agony, we weep, bemoan and cry,

For we must be able to face sorrow, sickness and grief with the knowledge of our eternal joy,

As we witness the terror inflicted upon a frighten world and the horror of every little girl and boy!

Sometimes love will say no, as upon your death bed you do lay or upon the desperate streets you stray,

He will allow you to walk through the fire, raging with passion and desire,

Bringing you through on the other side, rid of all your arrogance and pride!

The uncertainties of life sometimes may seem insurmountable and every effort to do right appears to fell,

But in the long-run in which it takes to receive the ultimate prize, we shall win, for against us the gates of hell shall not prevail!

“In your patience possess you your souls, bringing them under God’s control”,

Then shall you understand a love so great and so bold, full of riches untold,

The love that will say no in the face of hurts and pains, the love that has freed you from your sin and shame!

Amen!
This is a brilliant write.
" let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. "(Heb. 12:1)

Very encouraging.
