La Danse enchanteresse. (The enchanting dance)

Contributed by FleurdeSang on Wednesday, 6th October 2004 @ 02:46:24 PM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

A silent shadow lurks in the depths of my mind,
Always haunting, ever so enthralling…
I receive Midnight’s kiss,
Sleep sings me Her intoxicating lullaby,
And I am thrown into endless darkness…
Set in a world of surreal beauty,
A place where the sweet Night always reigns…
Adorned with star dust and the luminous light of my infinite Moon,
Creating a pallid gown of Splendor,
Embellished with gems of Loneliness…
A sharp contrast with my bittersweet caramel flesh,
Bringing out the silver in my liquid amber eyes…
Harmonious music mingles with the cool winds,
A song is being sung by the most precious of voices…
The dance begins,
A slow, rhythmical waltz of two lovers…
I gaze into the eyes,
Only to be lost in endless pits of green…
My lurking shadow, my beautiful creator of words that enchant me, entice me so…
Safe and warm in his tight embrace,
Our bodies moving gracefully as one…
The splendiferous hymn has ended,
The music ceased flowing,
But we still dance,
To a song only we can hear…
A hymn of love played by our hearts…
A tantalizing kiss, and the dream ends…
The envious Sun has risen,
High and royal…
My precious Muse has been slayed,
Her children long deceased…
I awake, empty, lost, morbid,
Yearning forevermore for the dazzling Night to return,
So I may have another dance with my dark Prince,
He who occupies every moment of my waking hours…
To slumber in his endless gaze, exist in his obscure world…
To dwell in his heart forever…
Let it be more than just a dream…

Real imagery words
Good enough poem, I used to write ones simular to this but the bad point of these is that it doesn't seem to go anywhere, It just seems to drag on a bit. And a little confusing with the kind of atmosphere your trying to make, like with the line

Sleep sings me Her intoxicating lullaby,
I know later on you meant the sleep and dreams be beautiful but in my opinon this line makes it sound threatening and horrible, probably because of the word 'intoxicating'
But hey its just my opinon,

chasse est-il comme une danse, est-il pas ?
I get it, I think. Another blissfull write of longing beautifully descriptive. It makes one desire a dance indeed.

Intoxicating and captivating.
I felt the passion in this dance the gaze of love.

Such a dream must come true.. it is to beautiful to remain a dream

I think it should remain a dream, reality would take away all of the perfection of that dance. Anyway, I enjoyed it.
