Do they deserve to survive?
No way, we sigh…
One failure after another
And lie on lie on lie

And not without consequence
as we watch our colleagues fall
This corrupt administration
hardly cares at all

So many sleazy politicians
Who tried to fool the West
Incompetence was their watchword
And sacrificed the best

Dishonesty was their cry
Irresponsibility was their shame
As they sent the troops off
And they escape the blame

What a bunch of crawling losers
As they watch the rising tide
Falling over one another
Commanded by he who lied

What a sorry-assed bunch of incompetents
Who led the world astray
Undermining all that was good
All honour to betray

From the start it was all wrong
As the friends of Bush pulled the strings
Trying to look unbiased
As they politicked from the wings

A man of puny learning
Who doesn’t like to read
Began a corrupt government
And sowed an ugly seed

He took every venal course
it was possible for him to take
Acting like it was the word of God
This pseudo-christian fake

And all his ugly colleagues
Set us all up to fail
Responding to national tragedy
With acts beyond the pale

Now look at the prospect
A new fracture in the East
A war for generations
The terror just increased

Yes, they’ll tell you it would’ve been worse
If they HADN’T gone ahead
Ye, that’s an EASY out
When thousands now are dead

They’ll keep lying,
you can be sure of that
There’s no percentage in truth for them
Led by the Texan *****

Don’t be frightened into voting for Bush
He is no shepherd wise
He is leading you to disaster
As hits against us rise

He threw oil on the flames
Still burning from 11 September
He made a horrific day much worse
Than any we remember

Now over 1,000 American lie dead
Young men and women true
And Bush wants to say it was all worth while
But they just LIE to you

Don’t let them paint pretty pictures
About how well they’ve done
These slimeballs will say ANYTHING
To pretend we really won

All they’ve done is take a mess
And add their incompetence raw
Such an ugly cast of losers
That stick in this world’s craw

It’s time to replace these callous fools
These sleazy dishonest men
Let’s begin to build a BETTER world
It’s time to start again

--O//--

It's time to end the incompetence

It's time to end the madness

It's time to end the lies

It's time to VOTE FOR CHANGE

I am not much into politics, or polititions, and the webs of lies, but I see you point in this poem, see all the lives lost, through a presidents stupity, although I am not an american, so maybe my words are insulting, but hate to say bush is a nut, totally crack and a war mongar, hungry for the feasting of murdered soldiers, sent to their deaths though a governments sugar coated lies.
A cool poem, and I did like what it was about, though just never say much since I am from another country.
Thanks for sharing this poem.
