come to me and make up a goodbye, so atleast i can say we had one.i never really got it(and i doubt i ever will)but it's the kind of thing that you would see in some old noir movie,everything was just so right, nothing ever wrong(i was wrong) i did things i never would of done.i am the corrupt,i am the as sholes of the world, i am everything that you hate,but it seems that your in love.i dont know why(but) theres something about it that you and i both know is real.i want it(but i dont want to try for it).well,i'll be happy where im going(i hope)so dont worry about me.i'll be fine(after)we make up this goodbye.

If you wait a while - it's possible to pretend that you DID have a goodbye, but that... since it was long ago and your memory is so cruddy - that maybe you've just forgotten how it went.
Wait... no... that's ME. Ah well... anyway... it works (almost!... ok... no... not really).
This write tugs at the heart. I do hope you eventually got/get your goodbye.
