I am lost
I am nothing
I'm exactly how you left me
Here inside my mind

Stars don't shine
And the sun beats down with darkness
From the depths of my heart
Down in my soul
I cannot escape

I can't see you
I can't touch you
You know just what to say
To tear my heart in two

You take my breath away
And stomp on my heart
You know just what to say
To tear my dreams apart

Can't you let me find
A quiet place to lay
When nothing helps my mind
Think this pain away

You left me alone inside
You could not change your mind
And now your with another heart
I can't find a way back to you

My mind is racing through the world
Trying to forget you
But I can't find a way down deep
And i can't make it through
Without you

I know exactly what is going through your mind. Well written.

While every care is taken to ensure the general sites content is family safe, our moderators cannot be in all places; all the time. Please report poetry and or comments that are in breach of our site rules HERE (Please include poem title or url). Parents also please ensure that you supervise your children well when they are on the internet; regardless of what a site says about being, or being considered, child-safe.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
