God or Fate?

Contributed by holly on Tuesday, 5th October 2004 @ 10:21:47 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

when we started out together i never thought that my future would hold this.
i look around to see what i can account for over these past ten years.
so many obstacles so many joys.
so many tears and so much love.

when i think of you, even when you are out of my reach,
all i have to do is close my eyes and rewind the memories that i keep.
then i open my eyes and thank who ever it may be,
that decided that our two lives should be as one and
complete

some say it is an act of god
some say it is fate
but i say that even without god or fate
we would still be

i close my eyes again and try to remember all things
but it is almost entirely impossible with the commotion going on at my feet.
instantly i open my eyes and feel the aggravation leave
i see our two children and slowly a smile radiates to my eyes

should i tell them now?
what everyone thinks?
that we are together because of an act of God or because it was fate?

i think that i will just let them wonder
so they can live it all themselves
and after being with their "love"
they will be able to judge for themselves.

thank you who ever i should thank
thank you fate
and most of all, thank you, my love...
my husband. i love you.

This was so sweet and definitely words straight from your heart! I thought I had found the one I was suppose to be with...sometimes I still think one day we'll be back together again, because being with him just feels right and the feelings I have are still so strong. But, whether it's him or someone else, I hope we have a great relationship and I'm able to write about my husband and kids one day.. Thank you, this gives me hope! And thank your husband for doing the job that he does! God Bless You and Your family!

God bless your husband and all the other heroes that are there, the ones that have come back, and the ones that died for this country. I see the familes of these men as heroes too because of the sacrifices they have to make. Take care and stay strong. Blessed be.

Rita

God or Fate....maybe it was ment to be, for you to find your soul mate.
Written with such passion this poem was, sensitive, and full off a true love feeling, clear images, of a beautful love story, may your years together be forever, and beautiful always.
