Can you hear my heart breaking
Can you feel my body shaking
Without you I am lost
And my sanity is the cost
I’m sorry that I let you go
I thought that you should know
I know I screwed up really bad
I’m sorry that I made you sad
I know that’s not what you want to hear
But not knowing what could be I truly fear
I wish that I could go back in time
Just erase this sad heartbreaking rhyme
If only I had known I would’ve never said goodbye
But I know I can make this right please just let me try
Just listen to my broken heart, try to understand
As it spills out into your cold loveless hand
So in your hand you hold my heart
Please don’t let it fall apart
Just try to care for it the way I care for you
That is all that I’m asking you to do

I sort of relate to your poem-
I like it because it is what I would like to know since I myself have beeen on the flip-side of this coin so to speak.
Always trust your heart.It will put you back on the path you wish to travel.
One more thing:
Someone once told me" if you love something, let it go. If it returns it is yours. If it does not , it never was." |

Welcome back!
Beautifully written and with such a powerful sensitivity, each word flowed to the next, combining the whole, into a plea for forgiveness and another chance, and I do hope you are given that second chance.
