Perennial Big Brother
I don’t know what it is about me
I try really hard, but why bother?
All the girls that I really like
See me as their big brother.
This problem you see, it has haunted me
And has done all of my life
No women are ever attracted to me
Not even my adoring ex-wife.
I’ve seen TV, read magazines
Women talk of the guys that they need
All of the things that they say they want
I meet and usually exceed.
They want someone gentle,
Someone sensitive & funny
A romantic kinda guy
Who’ll put the seat down on the dunny
Someone who is strong enough
To open any jar
Someone who can write poetry
And be able fix their car.
And when it comes to lovemaking
I can take them as high as a kite
With my retarded ejaculation
Will ensures I’ll do the job right.
But having just said all that I think
Sex is just another cog in the wheel
I find I don’t get it
It’s really not a huge deal.
Some times a heart felt hug,
Or to hold some ones specials hand
Makes me feel complete
And it’s all that I demand.
I would help out with the housework
And really am quite good at cooking
But it’s not my fault, I can’t help it
That I’m just not very good looking.
I’m sure it can’t be that
If it were I wouldn’t mind
If it were, it would be problem solved
I’ll find a girl who’s blind.
I know that with my luck
Her sight she would regain
Then when she seen what I was really like
I’d be back on my own again.
I’m sure I have a lot to give
To any potential lover
But I’m destined to be a lonely man
The Perennial Big Brother.

This poem brought big tears
to my eyes, Looks are the last thing
a person should look at, they aren't
what make the person who they are
They had a forum topic on this not long
ago, you should look at it ! I know this
poem tugged at my heart so badly
because i know what it's like to feel this
way, This is so sad i hope this isnt true
about you, if it is and that's all people
look at is your looks then you just dont
need them! It makes me angry that people
judge others by looks! lol im sorry i think
this is a wonderful write and very sad
and very full of heart! Thank you for sharing
I'd like to read more of your poetry.
