my toes grasp the branch
I hunger for rare meat
I lower myself to the ground
my hands first then my heels
I begin to rise
but I fall
the grass is high
what lurks behind
hairs raise as the adrenalin pumps
can I see my next eat
or will I be eaten
I begin to rise
one foot after another
is this evolution
am I changing
I need to fill my stomach
so I step forward
I can see
it drives me onwards
Ive just changed the world.
