Scars upon skin
talk of tears
within.
Loud crashing thunder
beating hooves of a stampede.
Memories of words
flippantly dropped upon your shoulders;
child's courage gone awry.
Proof of perseverance
lasting, solid rock cliff faces.
Scars fade,
as memory's clarity does.
Erosive forces,
wind and rain,
wear away
solid rock cliff faces.

oooh I love this Kara. Reading it over the first
time it seemed like such a simple poem, but
it isn't it is SOOOOO deep. Wow I loved the
second stanza that was amazing. I liked how
you linked scars to perseverance... very
interesting.
