That fateful night.

At first it seemed,
Like I would never know you,
So close, but so distant,
Like words unsaid…
Time passed,
Like the wind through your hair,
The space dissipates and,
Suddenly, we are thrown within reach…
The curtains go up, and the dance begins…
Starless night,
The moon, She who inspires me so,
Ever so elegant and alone in the sky,
Majestic in every sense,
Remaining undisguised…
The fearful howl of the banshee echoes in my head…
I still remember the fragile day,
The way you looked at me…
My sun had died,
And in the darkness,
You were all that I could see…
Misery, my new love,
I still remember how I cried,
The day I took you in my arms…
‘Twas many a day ago,
Beneath the darkness of a velvet sky,
One much like this…
I saw you there,
Adorned of Sorrow’s bane,
Your cloak that flows with Evening’s kiss,
It’s tresses marked of Decay…
Twas then, mon cher plus cheri, when Love struck me relentlessly once more…
That night, oh how I remember it so well,
I wandered weary and alone to a lake of Anguish…
My heart torn from past loves,
My soul, embellished with obscurity…
These amber eyes came across your luminous form,
Realizing that I was gazing upon Beauty,
Timeless, beyond compare…
I am struck silent,
Beguiled, entrance by you,
Fallen seraph…
All I wanted then was to be yours,
Always and forever yours…
That blessed night, I found you under a dying willow tree,
As broken and lost as I,
Shedding tears of melted memories…
I welcomed you into my comforting embrace,
Brushing away your tears, and placing them with mine…
We held each other with fervent passion,
Realization creeping up and surprising us…
THIS was eternal love…
And it was all ours…
Twas that fateful night when you proclaimed your love,
Singing sweetly, with velvety lungs…
Oh, such a beautifully morbid melody it was!
‘Silent, she weeps in the night,
For her burden of Paradise…
Gazing, her amber eyes of Dawn,
Mourning the absence of Death,
Of a balance lost,
In a balance of Beauty and Decay…’
As I drift out of my melancholic reverie,
All I have is anguish, all I have is tears…
My dream was lost,
My virgin sun had died that day when you left me…
My fragile heart was crushed once more…
As the dying night sings,
Dance with me, oh precious Death,
In my crumbling chamber of malevolent grandeur,
To strains and fragments of blasphemous passions,
Amoral and barbarous…
Let me stroke your tainted soul,
You that has hurt me so,
With leprous immortality,
Smoldering and raw,
As I seduce your mind with vaporous phantasms,
And serpentine monstrosities,
Tremulous and nocturnal…
As the dying night sings,
Come dwell with me in the catacombs of a false Hell…
Bow low to my hollow promises of an eternity of desire,
Let me damage you like you damaged me,
As I feast upon your nightmares,
And watch you fade into obscurity…

It cocooned me in it's heart and soul ; an ebon enchantment genlty kissed by the grace of sorrow.
It's utopian light is heart warming yet it rips me to shreds.
~ You have a gift.
