part 1 of 13 HALLOWEEN HORRORS!

Contributed by blackholesun on Monday, 4th October 2004 @ 12:18:51 PM in AEST
Topic: Holiday Poetry

A drift in the crystal fog,
a small mountain town,
darkened by the blood soaked ground,
an evil so profound,
as to make your flesh quiver,
a small town by the river,
in the midst of it all,
a scare crow standing tall,
packing himself full of meat,of the men he did defeat,
saving them later to eat,
crushing people at his feet,
spitting their blood high in the air,
blackened his soul beyond repair,
a priest survived the feast of the horrible pumpkin head beast,
he ran from the masacre never to look back,
wondering still if it would attack,
a bottle of jack he would crack,
and sit next to this fire,
watch him burn with no return,
from the hell like demension from which it came,
ashes of sender,
washed away by rain,
he cried out in pain, for those who were dead,
he buried their remains with dread,
clenching his bible his words were read,
tears fell from his bruised head,
he fell to his knees to ask god please,
tell me why did they die?

you lived god said,to bury them and cry!

This is a well-written poem, but the ending is not at all in line with my spiritual beliefs. I guess that is why it is your poem and not mine. God would not have people suffer and then one person give witness to this, for Jesus Christ has already paid for all sins through the greatest suffering of all. That is part of my belief that conflicts with the end of this poem.
