Autumn Freeze

Autumn Freeze
~~~
Summer breeze
Gives way to autumn freeze
I watch the leaves as they fall
Floating through the air
Like they haven’t a care
As they mount against the wall
In colors of red and gold
Their beauty ever bold
They cover the browning grass
I’m amazed how they can fly
When the wind goes swirling by
I love watching through the window glass
But soon the snow will be here
Covering the leaves for another year
Until they disintegrate into the ground
For when the summer comes our way
And the kids go out to play
Not a sign of fall can be found
Circle of life in full bloom
Leaves shading the sun of a hot afternoon
Perfectly placed on the tree
We sure serve a wonderful God
He definitely works so hard
To full our needs that might be
