Cosmic Restart Button

Contributed by Onslaught on Monday, 4th October 2004 @ 02:24:39 AM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

Comets and asteroids are like a cosmic restart button
When things get out of hand, when things are no longer salvageable
When life can no longer help its self
When it can no longer prevent its plunge into darkness
The cycle of cosmic destruction, the cycle of space and time will intervene
And it will do what it has been designed to do
Comets and asteroids are like a cosmic restart button
Cleaning up after nature's mess
Cleaning up after God’s mess
Forgive me for finding joy in the death of all mankind
But judging from what I’ve seen
Its time for life on earth to end
Its time for those comets and asteroids to do their job
Its time for humanity’s cancer like death grip to end
And as the asteroids smash into this sick world
I will rejoice in our panic and desperation and fear
In our inflicted punishment so long overdue
In our excruciating existence finally coming to an end
In this Cosmic Restart Button
This failed human experiment will be no more

I'm usually not into the whole sci-fi thing, but that was really good!
