Well of Redemption

Searching the night for a spark.
Long I’ve been needing your light,
Needing your touch and your sight.
"Never", has shown to be stark.
Whispers are heard in the night.
Voices so cold and detached,
Eagerly trying to match,
All of my wrongs with one right!
But as my shadows take hold.
Vision’s beginning to wane,
Questioning if I’m still sane.
Sunlight brings nothing but cold.
Cold I feel deep in my bones.
I stand here framed now in ice,
Supper for three little mice,
Blind to the sticks and the stones!
Do I hear fear in my screams?
Looking for something to grasp,
Hearing my voice now a rasp.
Calling upon broken dreams.
But now I see there, a well.
Waters so cool to the touch,
Giving what I thought too much.
Lifting me out of my hell.
So now I’m flouting on dreams.
Carry me to my relief,
Born in the realms of belief.
Giving me life, now it seems.
This is a gift I won’t waste.
Sharing it now with the lost,
Helping them to melt their frost.
Dipping their cups for a taste.
