Love is Missed

Roaming the streets in dumped despair,
Reminders of you everywhere
Without you here I just subsist;
Love is missed.
No more shared coffee in bed,
The croissants squashed under my head
Remembering how deep you kissed;
Love is missed.
Passing the café where love was hatched,
What happened when we were so well matched?
Striking you off my Christmas list;
Love is missed.
Daily sessions of straightening my spine,
Pain today - most definitely mine
I understand I’ve been dismissed;
Love is missed.
No more of me grieving, no more pining,
Every breakup has a silver lining
I won’t call you if symptoms persist
- But you are missed.
