Slipping

Your eye's as blue as sapphire, your heart of pure gold.
I long to see how the story of "us" will unfold.
Whether it be a happy ending, heartache, or simply goodbye,
I see more of an angel, as the days pass us by.
Your simple gestures that mean everything.
The way you hold me, the way you sing.
Your gentle touch, your soft caress.
The way you think that I'm the best.
Your tender smile, the way you frown.
The way you turn my life around.
Your not like the others I've met along my way.
Despite my efforts I KNOW I will fall for you someday!!
And even though Im terrified to love someone again.
I cannot imagine being "just a friend".
I must face my fears, and see just how we end.
