The dancing of the ocean waves,
as they slowly caress the sand.
The sweet smell of innocence,
as children walk the land.
The grass swaying softly,
in the magnificent ocean breeze.
The sight of small children swimming,
as they glide through the sea with eaze.
The distinct barrier horizon,
as it parts the sea and air.
Dareing anyone who has loved and lost,
to cross it if they dare.
How can a land that possess so much hate,
be full of so much beauty.
And how can a land of so much beauty,
be full of so much hate.

How can a land that possess so much hate,
be full of so much beauty.
And how can a land of so much beauty,
be full of so much hate.
I love this line! Wonderful poem!

Bravo! I can see you put work into this.
I couldn't help but notice you broke rhyme with the last stanza, was that on purpose?
I couldn't help but redo it
How can a land of so much beauty,
be full of so much hate.
I long for the love I know is there,
tears forming as I wait.
But thats just me, otherwise your way with words is fantastic! |

Good Poem, I liked it. I like how you are totally caught off guard at the end. When you first start reading it, you think that this is just another poem about nature and such. Throughout the poem you are at peace and then suddenly you are confronted with the harsh reality. Very nice. |
