She sat on the floor of her bedroom with her knees under her chin and rocked slowly back and forth.
She hadnt been outside for days, but still the voices invaded her mind. She couldnt remember the last time she ate. She was positive her flat mates had poisoned everything that could be consumed. She'd stopped taking her pills. They were supposed to help her, and stopped the voices and midnight visits from strangers, but they were only blinding her from the truth. The truth that everyone was out to kill her.
The cuts on her arms were still bleeding and raw from the night before. She had cut herself in an attempt to berid of the poison that flowed in her veins. She would have to try again.
Suddenly she got up and ripped open her left arm with her blood stained pocket knife. She dipped the fingers of her other hand into the crimson pool that had already formed and wrote in red on the wall: 'No-ones Safe'.
She collapsed onto her bed and cried.

Positiviely graphic and heart wrenchingly sad, full of sorrow, and a feeling of being trapped, you captured the essence of a cornered soul, awesome write. |
