The day I saw you, cupid shot me,
Let his arrow of love run free,
It landed in the middle of my chest,
I felt love so deep in my breast.
I felt a burn I’d been set alight,
I longed to make love to you that night,
For days I thought of nothing but you,
If I didn’t see you I felt quite blue.
As soon as I woke you were in my mind,
You were like treasure that I had to find,
At night you even entered my dreams,
You are so much more than you first seemed.
I was in love of that there was no doubt,
I just wanted to scream & shout,
Tell the world I was head over heels,
That is how good you made me feel.
I’d see your face everywhere I went,
I knew our time together was yet to be spent,
I wondered as I lay alone in my bed,
Was I drifting around inside your head?
Just as you were doing inside mine,
You made my dull thoughts have a shine,
I wished upon my lucky star,
& it listened from the sky so far.
I wished for love to come my way,
That I’d have someone to share my days,
& the nights as they got quite lonely,
You are my love, my one & only.
