Beauty lies inside

Contributed by FleurdeSang on Thursday, 30th September 2004 @ 03:40:30 PM in AEST
Topic: PoemsonBeauty

Twas many a day ago,
In the sweet embrace of the Night,
Where I witnessed the birth of Venus…
Her hair flowing, dancing sensually in the cool winds…
The stars set in her infinite eyes…
Glimmering so enticingly..
Commonly known as the Temptress,
The way she moved, those lips parted as if to receive a kiss…
Temptress by name, Temptress she shall always be…
She smiled my way; so radiant…
She sang the song that I knew so well…
Giggling in the distance,
Dancing that alluring waltz,
Teasing all, leaving them recklessly on their knees…
Beautiful was she, a praised Goddess…
There was something ancient about this Venus,
Wisdom adorning her aura…
All-knowing, centuries of living…
Such an unnatural beauty,
Such a beguilingly mysterious smile,
Like she was hiding something,
Laughing at us all, as we try so hard to decipher it…
She was the rebirth of Mona Lisa…
So close, so tantalizingly close,
I feel her warmth,
Smell her sweet fragrance…
My breath was stolen when she touched me,
My eyes watered as she spoke to me…
“Splendiferous flower, never forget who you are…”
A trembling smile played at my lips…
I stepped away from the mirror,
My reflection smiling back…
“I am Beauty... I am Blood Flower...”

All beauty does lie in ones eyes......as they say.......Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....

I could visualise her beauty.
Keep painting the words of your mind
You painted a wonderful picture with your words.
Another masterpiece poetic lady in motion
