Blood boils ,tempers flare.
Trumpet music fills the air.
Horses nervous, eyes wild,
as brave men sit atop them.
Reins in one hand,
sword in the other.
Drawing the line between brother and brother.
The rancid smell of dead flesh, mixed with the smoke from cannons.
Drug to the battlegrounds by wounded and bandaged soldiers.
Fighting to free there land from persecution.
For the ability to be free and feel free in his home.
As the enemy nears nervous beads of sweat appear.
Closer, closer, they come still.
above all the cannons ,the winning of horses and the rustling of men leaving the cover of branches and brush.
Comes the cry charge and two armies collide once more.
In a conflict they named the civil war.
