Pencils & pens strewn all o’er my bed,
There’s no space left to rest my aching head,
Last night was a nightmare, I acquired no sleep,
I was scared by these words, “What you sow is what you reap!”
I awoke this morning with a searing pain,
It went right through my mind & paralyzed my brain,
Work! Work! Work! That’s all I know,
My personality how will I show?
I think hard & twice, yet I see no escape,
My troubles & fears are now taking shape,
I run from the past, yet I’m looking behind,
My utmost potential is what I’m trying to find...

What a beautiful bit of whisdom created by a wonderful poet. Take a deep breath, step back, and reorganize. Stress is a good thing as long as you are in control, other wise it will control you and drive you insane. Thank You for sharing yourself and your poetry with all of us. Great job. Please have a peek at some of mine and please leave a comment if worthy. Your friend MickeyPigKnuckles :o) |

Yes it's hard. All teachers seem to think they are the only class you have, the textbooks try to give you too much at once, just getting ready to leave for school takes anywhere from a half-hour to an hour, sometimes the study materials don't match the text OR the lectures and the disorganized struggle even more. I know it all too well. Good write, though. "Ultimate Potential" is why some of us are in school, at least. Cheers! |
