These people...

Contributed by holderofthestone on Wednesday, 29th September 2004 @ 08:03:54 PM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

I see so many everyday
They wear different clothes
And different shades of hurt
They reek of different stench
But the lies are all the same
The false smiles
The way they glare
Ha ha ha the laughs they have...
They only care about themselves
Disregard for others
Because cant respect who they are
Shallow…
Worthless…
Empty…
I pity what you have become
I’m glad that I’m not you
I’m more than you…
Yet you make me feel weak
You make me fearful
You make me who I am
And you still hate this “me”
You still cause pain
You still laugh
What else can I do?
Who else can I be?
How else can I try?
Before you accept me?
Before you respect me…

having them accept you and respect you isnt needed to live and to get acceptance or respect you might have to pay a high price of regrets later on...

I like the way you wrote this broke it up with the 3 lines in the middle, the raw emotion and a taste of truth made for a good read, thanks for sharing

They will never respect you until they can respect themselves. See people like this all over, on the phone, in the supermarket, everywhere I roam!
So sad really, that they are void of any self-esteem............but stay away.......stay away......or like them you too will become.
Worded very well indeed!
Truthfully and honest to the core.

Realizing that you are "more" than these people should be empowering and good enough to make you feel better. These people realize that you are better than they are and this "Disrespect" is their last, desperate, pathetic attempt to make you just like they are, hollow, void of meaning, and sick. Never give in. Grow, learn, seek truth, and always be faithful to your morals and ethics, no matter what.

The three words in the middle kind of put it together. It's hard feeling isolated in a crowd. Title caught me... I wrote an essay last semester in which I used the phrase "these people" too often and my instructor corrected me. heh. It's fine here though. Nice write! Cheers!
