I watch you secretly
As you begin to dance,
Watch your fluid movements,
Watch you take the chance,
As you leap and twist and turn
Hanging in the air,
Challenging gravity
Taking every dare.
Then I see you catch my eye
At the very end,
I know you danced this one for me,
Thanks, again.

Your old flame surely was an entrancing dancer - you've written many poems about it, and including it as a metaphor for many things.
I like this one, too. |
