PICTURES of PAIN

Contributed by Alovinmann on Wednesday, 29th September 2004 @ 04:37:25 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

My walls are bare
I have not hung a thing
A glassy eyed stare
Is the offering I bring
But then I think of Pictures

I have a picture of life
Fullness, Romance, Sensuality
I reach for that image
So much drama blocks serenity

Years, Tears, Fears, Sinceres
All sweethearts of another day
My stare takes a blink I hear the jeers
So much was wasted away

In the corner of the room
Is a solitary box
Holding pictures I just can't see
Memories unfolded from dusty doom
Thoughts that are better left be

Masocistic me has to look in
Like an addiction saying one more time
Yes I give in open the top
Knowing old pictures I'll find

Crazy Days. Lazy days
Who iIn heremay i find
Loveing Faces Different Places
To face this is doing my time

Oh Know Look here
It's my smiling little Liss
She shattered by a Mom's cruel way
I tear as I see her so happy so small
Happier then, than today
Selfish held her at bay

What's this?
another picture
A beauty laying naked on the Mexican Shore
I was touched then but more loss
She's not on earth anymore

Oh know it's another
Dream face from the day
The lady with the raven flowing locks
Can't hang this either no I must not
She too climbed up heaven's blocks

Is there anything here
As I dig dig dig
Why do I even have this
Maybe I should hang that
A sarcastic lift
Not anyone I ever miss

One more try and that's it
The wall can stay bare
Fishing for just the right shot
Yes I did I can't believe the pull
It's a picture of you that I got

So NOW I can hang it
Now I can stare
The stare just may turn to a dream
Yes now your face looks down at me
Things aren't as bad as they seem
No things aren't as bad as they seem

This is a very bueatiful poem. Memory lane is always hard. The song "The way we were" comes to mind

"Shattered pictures of the times we left behind. Shattered pictures of the memories of the way we were"
