Pain is love & love is pain,
It is a feeling that can drive you insane,
Love can hurt & make you bleed,
But it is something that we all need.
To lose a love is pain no end,
Into the shadows you want to blend,
Hide away from the rest of the world,
Inside yourself you want to curl.
When your heart loses its beat,
World lands right at your feet,
You feel like a walking lost soul,
All you feel is the bite of the cold.
Love the most powerful word around,
Yet so alive it doesn’t make a sound,
It is a feeling that causes many emotions,
From sheer heartache to sheer devotion.
I write these words as I nearly lost,
Someone in my life who thaws out my frost,
I felt the pain crushing my heart,
Felt my universe being pulled right apart.
I am truly sorry for those who lost a lover,
It is hurt that’s unlike any another,
Love is something that never dies,
It is heard in our hearts & in our cries.

Beautifully written, my dear. I believe that love, faith and hope are the only reasons this world has survived this long. That longing need to be needed and to need another is such a strong emotion in humans. Without it we die inside. Even now, in a dark time, I have hope that I will love again and find a wonderful man to share my life with. It is too beautiful to live without.

Nice thoughts. This poem definitely got me thinking. Yes, the pain of losing a love is great. But a romantic loss seems to be so horrible nowadays because people give their hearts away too easily and completely depend on the other sex to fulfill their joy. That is definitely a weakness, a way in which we cause our own heartache, but it nonetheless, hurts. Nicely done. You have a tender, sympathetic heart.

beautiful indeed pixie all though very sad. It does hurt when someone loses a loved one. but deep down inside you will always have the memories to fall back on. I lost the only man I truely ever loved and I still find myself hurting over it. but in time I hope to fall in love again someday cause without love I have nothing. great job and thank you so much for sharing this lovely written poem.

Love cant die
but Nor can it be lost
in my opinion
Real Love is eternal
If two break up, who claimed to love each other
the love wasnt real
I believe you can only truly love one person
because whats the point in loving someone
if you could anyone?

You have caught the true essence of the meaning to lose a love so deep it crushes your heart, and the world lands at your feet. Those were simply eloquent! | I haven't gave five stars before, but like they say "there's always a first time for everything" and this was mine, but I think you deserved it as the poem is beautiful and well written, I loved it, I really did, and the name of the poem is very good too, and I'm really eager to read more of your new poems. |
