The rain washes over me
Soaking me, drowning me
But I don't feel the cold
'Cause I'm already numb
From all this pain that's inside
It only hides the tears
That I can't stop crying
Because I'm just so scared
I don't care anymore
I'll let the world trip me
You can stand and watch me
As I fall flat on my face
'Cause he can't catch me now
The way he always has
That's enough to make me
Break down and cry here and now
You have someone who loves you
I'll never let you go
'Cause with you I feel whole
There's no more holding back
I'm gonna give you my heart
Show you how much I care
'Cause I need you to know
And pray that we get through
It's hard for me to say
But I won't hide the truth
I've put my trust in you
Please hold me till I'm okay
It shouldn't feel this way
I need to know you'll stay
I'm just a little scared
That my love won't be enough
Promise me we'll be okay
'Cause if I lost you now
I'd break beyond repair
Understand how I feel
Say the things you always say
Don't tell me it's too hard
Don't say it's not worth it
Someday love will prevail
