" Lived My Life "
I have Lived My Life and gave all I could give
Now there is no further reason for me to live
I really gave it my best through all of the years
Now all of you will cry for me your never ending tears
My childhood was impossibly tough and extremely hard
I was not dealt a very good hand of life’s cards
I had to grow up fast at age twelve, went to work, and quit school
My parent’s deceased, survival kicked in, I became a working fool
I turned 18, joined the service, and went to Viet Nam
Fought the war, and what friends I had are all now gone
I came back, got a college degree and wrote some poetry
Gathered some fame, became published, it was good for me
I met a beautiful girl and fell in love with my soul mate
Together, we both knew our paths crossing was our destiny fate
As I pass. I will stand by and wait for you at Heavens gate
I have lived my life successfully, now death is my ending fate!!!!!
