" The Mirror "

The other day looking in The Mirror, what did I see?
A much older, wiser person looking back at me
I noticed the crow’s feet really beginning to show
My once soft young skin is loosing its youthful glow
The once faint lines are now very deep
Age has taken hold of me forever to keep
My facial cheeks were always so high
Now I see them and just want to cry
Its sad we can’t just stay young forever
Only our pictures will help us remember
The youth we all enjoyed and had
Getting old is really sad
I did not like that person looking back at me
Now I am sorry I took a look to see
That drooping flesh and wrinkled skin
I do not think I will look again
I may show aging on the outside
I am still young at heart on the inside
I guess I will age gracefully
Avoiding The Mirror so I don’t have to see!!!!!
