It's sad to watch your parents age
The changes that take place
Being healthy all their lives
The body slowly wares out
What once was a smooth outer surface
Now is layers of wrinkles
Once what was firm and flexible bodies
Now withers to almost nothing
Vision once 20/20
Now loosing sight in both eyes
The mind once in control
Now depends on others to help make their decisions
Aches and pains persistant everyday
Stricken with a life threatening illness
Canes, walkers or even a wheel chair
Just to help get around
Once an independent adult
Now life reversing going back as a child
Nancy

Beautifully worded. Life is one big adventure.
Nice to have someone who cares to help us through it.

Nancy how merciful, and caring you are!
I'm 67 years old, and aging also, but have blessed with longivity in both parents, so am still very active, and hope to be for many years. But it's so nice to know I have someone similiar to you..........a son that is kind and caring just like you!!!
Beautifully written poem............and I know your parents are very proud of you also!

Nancy, this write is too true. The last verse speaks for the whole poem. Well done. *S* Cynthia |

A day for everything under the sun.
When life is over it has but begun.
In His mercy God has sent His Son.
Nice poem so caringly done.
