These lies; so obscurely etched into my face
hidden by a mask so cleverly placed
This pain; so skillfully painted into my eyes
concealed by the power of my own demise
This hurt; so carefully carved into my hands
cloaked only by the humility that withstands
This agony; so indelibly drawn into my tears
Only to be erased by the conquering of my fears
