EPISODE VI
( This one differs from the other five ~ I hope that won't matter )
"Can you not see the evil before you?
Oh yes, of course, for here I stand
But know thee this, child
I am not the only monster within these walls
Nor within this room
Gaze upon thy sister
Look at how she hides her face
Search her eyes for the truth of things
And for the darkness that has so long shrouded
This perfect world in which you have lived
‘Tis your mother’s carcass heaved there ‘cross the floor
Discarded unceremoniously indeed, by my doing
But I took not her life
I merely ended her wretched existence
Her spirit had been forfeit long ago
Bought and traded away by that ... man
Who calls himself a father, a husband
He sacrificed her soul to whores and harlots
And once they were no longer sufficient
He began to extract recompense from your sister
Often times within the same night
Search her face and defy her to tell you different
I dare say she cannot
For she now knows her shame exposed
Her silent suffering nears its end
Her salvation and damnation have arrived
And will be dealt this very night
Ask He, who sits so stoic upon his wicker throne
Bleeding slowly
Ask him, why?
Were you not pretty enough?
Was he repulsed by your presence?
What kept him from your bedchambers?
Or was it simply a matter of time?
Were that the case, what length of time did you have
Before he began to feed upon your soul?
I hide not, who nor what I am
I am Blood Flower
I am born of lamiae
I am a vampyre
I feed to survive
Yet that man, he is a destroyer of souls
A stealer of innocence and a betrayer of trust
Driven by greed, envy, and his own personal agenda
He cares, not for others, but himself
He eats to the point of gluttony at nearby inns
And returns with a loaf of bread for his family
He is your great provider?
He feeds because he can
Whilst starving those he has gathered round his feet
He thrives upon his self appointed importance
And his ability to render those about him helpless
I have chosen my path
As has he
No choice was given to your mother or sister
‘Tis too late to save either of them
But I offer unto you a choice, dear girl
Share their fate, by his hand or mine
Or share my world and wander the night forever, free
Know this before you choose
I will end your sister’s pain before I leave
And time grows short
I will then leave you in his hands
Or carry you away within mine
See the lust that burns within those eyes
Even through his pain and loathing
His true nature can no longer be disguised
Watch how carefully he considers your options
To determines that which is in his best interest
The choice is yours, however
And you must choose
Now !!

.............Sighs. Perfect. Absolutely, and utterly perfect. What else can I say to this, my dearest chasseur? I have no words, for I have been deprived of them... My breath is slowly, too slowly, coming back, and I fear I might die... This has consumed me, savored me, letting me linger, and swallowed... This disturbingly beautiful endeavor has captivated me, enchanted me, and I believe I will never return to the real world... Wanting so desperately to be like her... Free. Incredbile flow, excellent, delicious... I thank you for this, dearest hunter. Forever yours,
FleurdeSang *still spellbound* |

Another very powerful poem. It appears that we always have a choice, even if it's how to deal with our fate. This seems to depict, among many other subtle nuances, a avoidance/avoidance conflict. That is, picking the lesser of evils.
Great work Naz
