I want to go and hear the music,
feel the love and the joy,
my life I will trick,
by feeling the sound I enjoy.
Go deep into my imagination,
make happiness and peace,
feel the sensation,
of the love that's release.
It takes you to a far away land,
where everything is good,
anywhere you stand,
there's someone with a happy mood.
Surrounded with dancing lights,
make you wanna dance,
by the wonderful sights,
created by the trance.
I love to feel this sensation,
happy and adored,
gives me motivation,
when sad from what I 've stored.

Oh how true, I wrote in a similar way about poetry "The minds eye" but you are the more true in saying what music does for us.
There is something just a bit special in this poem, particularly the last verse. Apart from the fact that it scans and rhymes (which many conributions don't sad to say) it captures EVERYTHING in such a few words.
I do so hope you write lots more
