Topic: Lifepoems

Sometimes I sit and wonder,
just how much a person can take;
before you take that step too far,
and your shield begins to break?
The shield that replicates the foot you put down,
when your heart has had enough;
and the very foundation that holds you strong,
you realize ain't so tuff!
If everything you thought that was,
has suddenly never been;
would you let your world just crumble down,
or pick up the pieces and build again?
If that love that you held so dear,
oneday starts to fade;
until all you have is faded memories,
of the bitter sweet past you made,
could you take it all in stride,
and hold your head up high;
or would you fall into your own little world
that keeps growing deeper as days go by?!
