O...ordinary
P...people
E...exist.
Hope is the roadordinary people take.
It leads them to a better place.
It keeps their foot on the accelerator.
Sometimes the road winds treacherously
through a forest of dead trees.
Sometimes there's a roadblock
that seems insurmountable.
Just then, there's a glimmer of light
illuminating the road ahead.
Its tiny glow
giving needed strength
to climb over the
roadblock.
If you don't see that tiny ray
maybe your gaze is averted
and you need to look around.
It's always there.
It never leaves.
We sometimes look in the
wrong direction.
Don't stop driving.

Well thought out. Perhaps you could have said 'crash through' instead of 'climb over' when referring to the metaphoric road block, but whatever - I like it anyways.
