BUTTERFLY AWAY!

Contributed by lovingcritters on Monday, 27th September 2004 @ 08:50:12 AM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

"BUTTERFLY AWAY!"

Softly swooping butterflies on a string.
Floating in midair, over land and stream.
No worries, not even a care....ambling.
Hues gliding silently from a rainbow's beam.

Butterfly Away, Butterfly Away,
Lifted by the wind's whispered skyway.
Gently gliding, evenly swaying to and fro.....
Early morn's warmth felt day-glo

Butterfly wings fluttering, cautiously,
At peace with a quiet breeze wee windy.
Harmony, tranquility with the universe.
Melodic tones of nature's songs verse by verse.

Butterfly Away, Butterfly Away,
Please don't land upon the troubled earth
Keep flying skyward heaven's high, I pray.
Into His kind loving embrace take berth.

Created especially
for my dear friend,
with warm love,
LovingCritters

"If my new friend was an American Indian,
I would name her "Butterfly Wings" because
she is so gentle, delicate and kind....has always
been an inspiration to me to write beautiful poetry.
Just like a delicate butterfly wing, if touched, some
will rub off on you, and this she has done to me too!"

*Beautiful Butterfly Smiles*

Consue,
The butterfly is one of my favorite creatures---so beautiful and delicate, they seem to meander, but their wanderings serve important purposes, and they are strong enough to survive the battering winds. BRAVO! I really like this.

Consue,
There is something about this one that is diffrent from the rest of yours. Most everything you write has some uplifting quality to it, as does this, however in addition there is an almost frivilous happiness to this that makes it even more of a joy to read.
The seemingly aimless meanderings of the butterfly are in my opinion, beautiful as is your poetic heart.
Thank you for sharing this.
