Regretful Night

Contributed by ShadowsCloud on Monday, 11th November 2002 @ 10:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Not a day goes by that I don't think of him
his warm smile and comforting voice invites me in
I know I did something stupid that night
that I'll never forget for the rest of my life
I broke our respect and trust
which in time, ruined the both of us
Our friendship is gone, how blind can I be
And the reason it's gone, is because of me
It's something I did that I can't take back
I was drunk that night and that's a fact
I hate myself for being that way
he's on my mind day after day
All I want to do is straighten things out, can't you see
Why can't things be the way they used to be
It would hurt to see it end, it wouldn't be right
I'm not giving up without a fight
Words can't even express the way I feel
I'm scared and embarrassed, will the pain ever heal
All I want is one last change
to prove to him that we can make it last
He's my confidence, my inspiration, my strife
I can't imagine him not being a part of my life
He is why I'm here today
he makes me laugh and smile all of the way
No body knows how much he means to me...
not even him

This is a sad poem Candice, you show so much regret and make it so clear that you're truly sorry for what you did.
I'm sure he'll have forgiveness for you.
He must be able to see that it was out of character, for you were a bit tipsy after all!

With love
Dean:-)

Dean, I think that he will most likely forgive me but I am too embarrassed to talk to him. I really want to but everytime I get to his house I just turn and walk away too emabarrassed to knock on his door. Hopefully one day I will actually knock and tell him.

Please forgive me if I'm getting confused here all these miles away from you Candice, but are we talking about Shadow here?

With love
Dean:-)
