Who are you with now?
Is she beautiful,
does she make you laugh?
You always treasured
laughter.
I remember your laughter.
I keep it in a box;
locked up tight.
I open the lid,
just a tiny bit,
so I can hear it..
now and then.
It's deep and warm.
So very, very warm.
It made me very, very warm.
In special places.
You know the ones. Yes, those.
We both liked laughter it seems.
Well I miss that a lot.
I hope you're laughing.
I hope whoever she is,
that she makes you laugh.
I know you need that..
and you liked it,
a lot.

Oh, I like this. You took something that we normally see as small and mundane and investigated its every nuance and the depth of its meaning. Wonderful.
