This too shall pass
This too shall pass
Staring at this piece of glass
Not
sharp
enough
Spiderweb stops me
Hands are shaking
Mouth is dry
Want to vomit
But nothing's inside
I bled to let you in
Must bleed to get you out
The hours...
They're passing
Guess I have somewhere to be
She's got all the answers
He knows all there is
All I see are mirrors
Break them
They will cut
Deep enough
No plan for this
Can't stop
Won't leave
Going to wear my heart on my sleeve
So you can tell me it doesn't exist
I like the way your tongue gets caught in your mouth
Your hands are shaking
Your mouth is dry
You don't feel good about it
Until your friends arrive
Then you are one and I am alone
And I don't mind
I still see you in me and me in you

I thought the first stanza was the best out of it all, but you coherently kept to your message, and I expect it resonates with a lot of people who self-harm. |
