I feel PEACHY knowing I’m pretty!

Contributed by deathdrop on Sunday, 26th September 2004 @ 07:31:50 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Once I sat in lesson,
Wrist all cut.
The blood came through my jumper,
But the navy color covered it up.
There was still a stain,
That luckily no one saw.
‘Coz be it they had,
They’d laugh a little more.
Or be it, the teacher,
He’d have to explore,
Looking all up my arm,
To see if I’d cut any more…

Once I sat in lesson,
Addiction to cut.
I had nothing sharp,
And nothing to bandage it up.
So I picked a scab with my nails,
And our teacher noticed me.
But he just carried on teaching,
Looked away.
Did nothing…

Once I wondered to corridor,
To afraid to go to class.
So I slit my wrist in the toilets,
Until a while had passed.
Then I went to lesson,
Before some one was sent looking for me.
I got to lesson late,
And our teacher was mad at me.

Once I told my friend I’d cut.
And that the release wasn’t enough.
So she asked for the razors but I wouldn’t give her them.
I know her too well, she wanted them to SLIT her skin!
But I asked for the answer, and the truth came out.
“To relieve stress, don’t say YOU don’t wanna get out”…

Once sitting in science, we were really board.
So I asked her, to scratch at my arm.
At first she did nothing, but then went through the skin.
She thought it was funny, she smiled and grinned.
So I scratched her but nothing bad.
The release for me was pretty nice but it made me feel sad.
Our teacher didn’t notice our class he couldn’t control.
So we sat at the back while he shouted and the other girls.

Once I saw her wrists, her cuts are so small!
They’re shallow little things, nothing at all.
When I showed her mine, her eyes popped out of her skull.
It makes me feel peachy, me being to pretty and all… *sob*

Once in lesson last year some people picked on me.
I didn’t even cut! But they said I was ugly!
If I couldn’t turn back the clock,
I’d proberly have NEVER cut.
… But look at me now!
My wrist tissue’s in lumps.
My wrist is often bandaged up…
When this came, I just had to face up.
Wake up!
My days of t-shirts are shaken up.

Once I came into lesson,
Wrist all slit.
The pain was unbearable,
And I felt really sick.
But I choose to be a cutter,
And now I have to live with it…
And you wanna know why I do it?
BECAUSE I’M ADD-ICT-ED..!

Poet at Industrial Colosseums Unbound Says:

This is a strange tale.

Wanna hear another strange tale?

"Lions in the street and roaming
Dogs in heat, rabid, foaming
A beast caged in the heart of a city

The body of his mother rotting in the summer ground
He fled the town
Went down South and crossed the border
Left the chaos and disorder
Back there over his shoulder

One morning he awoke in a green hotel
With a strange creature groaning beside him
Sweat oozed from its shiny skin

Is everybody in?
The ceremony is about to begin!

Wake up!
You can't remember where it was
Had this dream stopped?

The snake was pale gold, glazed and shrunken
We were afraid to touch it.
The sheets were hot dead prisons.

And she was beside me, old she's known, young
Her dark red hair, the white soft skin

Now, run to the mirror in the bathroom
Look! She's coming in here
I can't live through each slow century of her moving
I let my cheek slide down the cool smooth tile
Feel the good cold stinging blood
The smooth hissing snakes of rain

Once I had a little game
I like to crawl back in my brain
I think you know the game I mean
I mean the game called "Go insane"

Now you should try this little game
Just close your eyes forget your name
Forget the world, forrget the people
And we'll erect a different steeple

This little game is fun to do
Just close your eyes, no way to lose
And I'm right there, I'm going too
Release control, we're breaking through"

Jim Morrison, The Doors, "Celebration of the Lizard"

Hope you find a way to overcome.
I find my inner strength through knowing that Jesus Christ suffered more humiliation and violence than any human being will ever know, to die for all of our sins, and was resurrected to one day rule over the kingdoms of heaven and earth.

Beautifully written, and from the heart, at least you are willing to face, what to is a an addiction, I was once a cutter, now and then I feel like reverting, but hang in there, by just looking at my arms legs, and body scars riddle, razors, pins, nails, tin, glass and blades, I have made love to them all, soundz sick I know but like you needed to feel the extacy of the ice cold pain, It iron will and to many near death, jumpstarts to pull me out of hellward bound dive even then it took years, I know what you are going through and I am hoping there is somthing in what I say that will help you turn your life around....Maybe you dont want to hear this, if so I am sorry....You cut or are a cutter...All I can say is you need to want ot quit...before you can actually start dwon the road to healing...that is up to you, maybe what I say sounds cold and uncaring.....but look at words deeper oh you will see my tears and know tha in my own way I care and wish for you to seek a way.
Well look Im sorry if in some way I have insulted with this comment, as many have said I am little too straght up with my words, to sharp..but you wanted honesty and that is all I give.
Take care as only you know how, and love life or at least give it a chance.

There are many types of addiction and getting over them can be slow and agonizing. Even once you're there, you have to NEVER give in to the urge again. Fortunately, it has less power over you the further you move away from it. Your naked honesty here with yourself is the beginning. I have hope for you. I do know what it's like to be trapped. Praying for you.
