Untitled

Contributed by J_Ganey on Monday, 11th November 2002 @ 06:30:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Was forever created for the gods of yore
So they would have a chance to exploit their lore
To impose their stories upon their creations
And always exist in incantations
Or, was forever created for the sky
To gaze at the Earth, not seeing a day go by
Coming to life, crying for all things tragic
Summoned, perhaps by the angels magic
Or it could it have been created for the planet
To keep it moving, like iron to a magnet
Pushing this orb, to keep it traveling through space
Never allowing it to settle in a final resting place

I say, it was simply created just for you and me
So we could walk the sands of our beach eternally
Savoring each moment of every tender embrace
Allowing us to enjoy the way the other’s lips taste
Each new memory somehow sweeter than the last
Every beat of our hearts a tale of the obstacles we’ve passed
Chasing our never-ending dreams to infinite means
Looking to the future, though not caring what tomorrow brings
Forever giving unto you the security of my arms
A shelter of sorts to protect you from any sort of harm
With every glance into your eyes, I see better than before
That our love must be the real reason forever was made for
