It Was Worth It!!

She came out smiling, beaming, glowing
And it made it all worthwhile! :o)
She jumped in the Jeep telling me
About the guy she liked
(But he doesn't like her like that)
He slow danced with her and held her tight! :o)
And commented about how tiny she was.
And she absolutely GLOWED when she told me
And it made it all worth it
The money we couldn't afford
The time spent running from store to store
For just the right shoes, dress, nylons, and shawl
For all that, and more. It was worth it.
For just a couple of hours
My Granddaughter was in ecstasy!
So, yeah, it was worth it.

Beautiful poem, written so well with such inner feeling as one should feel writting about beautiful moments as these.

Awwwwwww Thumper! This is so loving, so sweet! And... I think you got it exactly right... it was, I'm sure, a very big deal to your granddaughter --- and that is worth more than anything!

| you did it here thumps and yes it is all worthwile. the true love you have for your grandchilden is a gift for them as it is for you in return. life is so rewarding when you can feel the way you do. |
