Lies you have told me
So I would live longer
Lies I knew weren't true
Lies, lies, lies that I gave into
Yes, I told you lies
So your lies wouldn't make me look arrogant
Lies, lies, lies
You said I meant something,
that I was someone,
with a purpose,
with a reason,
with a heart that cares,
and a good mind.
Those are lies
I know I'm nothing
no one,
without purpose or reason,
without a heart that cares,
or a good mind.
Lies, lies, lies
leave me alone.
I want nothing to do with you or the next person
All you'll do is stab me in the back
or have me cut deeper.
I hate you,
but even more I hate me
Don't tell me what I can be or how far I can go.
Those are lies,
expectations that everyone knows I can't reach
I see it in their eyes, I see it in yours.
You think I can't see that?
Your eyes tell me everything
Even when your mouth won't
They tell me when you're truely happy and when you lie
Lies, lies, lies
Leave me alone

| Just wanted to Thank You for sharing yourself and your wonderful poetry with all of us.
