Tonight I’ll be sleeping in your soul,
Your love & warmth will keep out the cold,
As I snuggle up & bed down for the night,
I can feel your soft soul holding me tight.
You send dreams into my mind,
I’m in a place that only you can find,
As I sleep you protect me with love,
Fitting around me just like a glove.
I can feel you next to me all the time,
You make my whole insides shine,
When you take me into your arms,
I know that I can come to no harm.
Deeper into sleep I drift,
My heart has been given an eternal lift,
From you the man who I utterly adore,
I can feel you seeping into my pores.
I feel you gently touch my heart,
You whisper you never want us to be a part,
It is my turn to make your dreams come true,
As I have found my dream inside of you.

| Even though I don't like poetry that rhymes...there were enough solid and powerful images in this piece to keep the reader focused. |
