Just A Poem

I type a sentence and add the other
I'm not happy so press the arrow to start another
time ticks by my mind is blank
what shall I write about I'm like an empty tank
I have a drink then something to chew
I desire to write something fresh and new
I give up and read other poetry
I comment a bit then have another try
now it's getting late I want to submit tonight
whats wrong, can't I think of a beautiful poem to write?
well that is it I've got blury sight
there is always tomorrow to get it right
feeling cross while time for bed
poems go wirling around in my head
remember this remember that
ideas leave my head like a ball's hit by a cricket bat
I'd love poetry to be read over and over
so others can admire and want to discover
so tonight I will take time to pray
that I'll think of a beautiful poem to relay

Great poem Coni! Don'tcha hate it when ideas suddenly
bombard you after you've climbed into bed and shut the
light off? I'm forever tossing and turning. So now I keep a notepad and pen
on the bedside table for just such an occassion!
