Writing My Pain

Contributed by PoeticMystery on Friday, 24th September 2004 @ 09:36:42 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I'm just livin' a lie
Hidin' all the tears I cry
If I could heal all my pain
If I knew it wouldn't drive me insane
I'd cut all the memories with the sharpest knife
Let them bleed onto you, out of my life
If I could put out the fire
Of all my love and desire
I'd burn them on you until the heat turned cold
Hopin’ the pain I always feel, would greet you ten-fold
The kiss that allowed my lips to feel your breath
I wish it were poison that introduced me to death
Because changing the future from that kiss
Would have been heaven in itself, such a sweet-sweet bliss
For all the hell I’ve paid since you left me
Could it be worse swimming in the Devil’s sea?
Is it possible to feel more pain and sorrow,
If the Evil One would be who I chose to follow?
Can you feel the tears streaming from my eyes?
After being dropped from the place you held me so high?
Do you feel it’s fair living,
When I wish that sometimes I wasn’t here?
Could you possibly understand how hard it’ll be to love again
Trying to find security and overcoming that fear?
I’ll walk my path and in the end find freedom
Smiling back on the past saying “ I really didn’t need him”

This is so beautifully written with such conflicting emotions of want and denyal, a poem written with such passion and in such an aweseom flowing rythem, thank you greatly for sharing a memory so vividly and Ihope you find what you most desire in life, take care always.
